How big are the RV bays in these homes?
Sizes vary and not every listing gives one. O2's homes at 3451 and 3475 W Parodin St each have a 15 x 36 ft RV bay, and Iron Oak's The Summer has a 1,551 sq ft RV garage. Todd Campbell's 5053 W Braveheart St has a 15 x 40 ft RV bay, and its home at 2346 N Annadale Pl lists a 36-foot RV garage. Busalacchi's 1891 E Jade Creek Ln says RV bay without a size.
How tall is an RV garage door?
None of these listings state a door height, so measure the door against your RV before you buy. As a reference, ProBuilt Steel, a company that sells RV garage buildings, lists 12 ft wide by 14 ft high as a minimum door for a Class A motorhome.
Can I park an RV in my driveway in Boise, Meridian, or Eagle?
It depends on the city. Boise bars RVs from the required setbacks, including the 20 ft front setback, so an RV on the driveway in front of the garage usually does not qualify. Meridian allows one in the front yard on a paved surface, and Eagle limits parking in front of a home to 72 hours in a row. See the city table on this page, and check your HOA, which can be stricter.
Can I live in an RV on my lot?
Generally no. Boise, Meridian and Eagle do not allow living in an RV on a residential lot outside an approved RV park. Kuna allows up to 7 days with city and agency approval, and Nampa caps it at 30 days without a conditional use permit.
Do HOAs restrict RV parking?
They can. Boise's code, for example, says it does not repeal or impair private covenants or deed restrictions, so stricter HOA rules still apply, and the City does not enforce private covenants. Read the CC&Rs for any community before you buy.
